Posted: Apr 24, 2020 by: Mrs Parker (NHemingway) on: Class 3

Good morning everyone to another week of remote learning!

I hope you all had a lovely sun-filled weekend! I thought I would update you on my progress with the colour by number painting. I have been trying to do little parts here and there but I did most of the additions this weekend. Here it is …

Here is the suggested timetable for the day:

E.R.I.C. - Everybody Reading in Class for 20 mins (remember to record your reading in your planners)

Active time - Joe Wicks' guided PE lesson at 9am

(https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1XT0iEJo0TYlRfn6rYQ)

Don’t forget GoNoodle:

https://www.gonoodle.com/

Maths/Reading Comprehension - do this in batches of 20 mins each, build in breaks.

Break – How many star jumps can you do in 30 seconds? Can anyone in your house beat your score?

Geography

BBC Bitesize have launched daily lessons. They started last week and after looking through them there are some lovely resources on there, so take a look here is the link:

They did a lovely science lesson on the introduction to Light and Dark, here it is so you can give it a go:

Reading comprehension;

Remember to keep reading 1 to 1 with someone every day! It is Monday again which means it is time for some comprehension. Either choose one activity from your pack or try this comprehension about sun safety. I thought that this was relevant as we have been having such lovely weather and I do hope that it continues!

Geography;

You are going to be starting a new topic of UK geography this half term. Here is a map of Europe. Where is the UK? Can you find Austria? On the map, how is the UK different to Austria?

Here is a map of the UK. Surrounding us are four seas. Also, in this country we have many rivers that flow into the seas. Your challenge for today is to use an atlas or a map on the internet, to name the seas that are around the UK. Here is a picture of the work or a sheet can be found here.

Next, I would like you to match the river names to rivers shown on your map and identify the seas they flow into. Again, here is an image or the work can be found here. Good luck and don’t get too sea sick!

Here is the Lego challenge for today! Remember to email us your creations! If you don't have Lego, don't worry any construction material will do …

Make sure you are having fun while you are learning just as we would be doing if you were in school! Remember to keep in touch, either by emailing us at class3@netherthongprimary.co.uk or by commenting on the blog, I'll be in touch if I don't hear from you by Thursday to see how you are.

Stay safe!

Miss H
