Remote Learning Wednesday 22nd April 2020

Posted: Apr 21, 2020 by: Mrs Parker (NHemingway) on: Class 3

Good morning little superstars! Wow, Wednesday already! I can’t quite believe how fast time is going by even though we are at home. Please do send in your work and any activities that are you doing to the class email address (class3@netherthongprimary.co.uk), I love receiving them and will create a gallery on a Friday! In preparation for the Lego challenge today, myself, my mum and Grandma made homemade pizzas last night! We used a pre-made mix (gluten free of course!) where we just had to add a little vegetable oil and water. Mum and I put peppers and mushrooms on and my Grandma put pepperoni on. Let me know what you think …

Perhaps you could try making your own pizzas? Here is a link to a recipe which doesn’t use yeast as you may not have this in your cupboard:

How did you get on with your planning yesterday? Today you are going to write the end to the story! Here is a reminder of how it started …

It was late evening, almost dark. “I think I left my ball in the playground. Let’s just go and get it before we go home,” said Tom to Suraj. They squeezed through the gap in the fence into the playground. It was a great safe place to kick a football round without people complaining about it hitting their cars. “What on earth is that!” exclaimed Suraj. A bright green light filled the sky just above the playground and it seemed to be dropping down in front of them. “Flying saucer! It’s a flying saucer!” gasped Tom.

Budding authors, it is time for you to start! Remember to use all of the grammar, spelling and features of a good piece of writing you have learned so far in year 3! Good luck …

Thought I would sneak art in today as well as later in the week! After you have finished your story, can you draw a picture of what Tom and Suraj saw? Will the flying saucer be giant or miniscule? Terrifying or exciting?

French;

Bonjour, ça va? Today in French we are going to be looking at the French colours. I have had a look and saw you recapped some before Easter so this should be fun for you to do. Can you write the correct name of the French colours before you colour the paint splats in the correct colour? Find the sheet here.

Bon voyage for now year 3!

Here is the Lego challenge for today! Remember to email us your creations! If you don't have Lego, don't worry any construction material will do …

We are all missing you greatly but love the pictures of you with your work that you keep sending!

Enjoy the lovely weather and stay safe!

Miss H
