Thank you so much for sending me such amazing stories to read to Will. I can't tell you how pleased and excited he is to have lots of new bedtime books. My printer has decided to stop working so I am going to print out your stories in school tomorrow (sshhh, don't tell Miss Kelly!) I can then read them this week and I'll let you know what he thinks of them all.

It was lovely to receive so many photos of you in your school uniform - although they did make me miss you even more than I already do! I will post some of the photos from last week later on today.

Sophie and I have been enjoying our daily walks during lockdown and this weekend we decided to challenge ourselves. We walked from our house in Skelmanthorpe all the way to my Mum and Dad's house in Wooldale (to wave hello from a safe distance!). We worked out that we had walked nearly 8 miles - luckily Sophie's Daddy picked us up so we didn't have to walk home!

This week I will be working in school so I will try to answer all of your emails as soon as I get home (please don't think I'm ignoring you!)

Today's suggested activities are as follows:

English:

This week we are going to be thinking all about endangered animals.  Towards the end of the week you will be hosting your own nature programme about endangered animals, which might include interviews and PowerPoints.  Today we would like you to begin your research.

Click on the link here, it will take you to the World Wildlife Fund website.  https://www.wwf.org.uk/

Explore the website and see what you can find out.  You can make notes about the endangered animals and investigate in books or on other websites that you know.

Maths:

Please complete the sheet below.  It is all about money this week!

Science:

During these strange times and different lives that we are all living at the moment, our environment is also changing.  Can you think of any ways that our environment has changed during the past few months of lockdown.  How are animals adapting to the new, slower paced world that we are living in?

Purple mash:

Don't forget to have a go at today's Litz Blitz and the maths activity. I have put them on your 2do lists.

Have a lovely day.

Love from Mrs Kendal and the year 4 team xx
