Week ending Friday 25th June

Another jam-packed week!

We began with Guided Reading, which has been very successful all year. Currently we have six groups, reading 8 different books. Here are some of them:

In English, we have been working on the Leavers' Assembly by planning and drafting playscripts for our individual scenes - we will begin to test out how successful they are next week.

We have begun some KS3 problem solving in maths, which has proved very tricky... have you been alive more than 1,000,000 seconds? Can you prove it?

Miss Monday has been helping us to complete our DT project to build our own car, which has electrical parts fitted - with varying degrees of success.

Some of the children have been outside in the forest area, building hammocks and using materials.

Alongside that, we have been running a group project to design your own restaurant, with groups being judged on their menus, the sign for the restaurant, an overhead plan of the layout and an advertising leaflet. Some groups went even further and made their own video ads! Great fun and very challenging.

Have a great weekend!

Mr C, Mrs J and the team.
