6.11.20 Update

Posted: Nov 5, 2020 by: Liam Kershaw (LKershaw) on: Class 5

It has been lovely to welcome you all back this week; I have thoroughly enjoyed getting stuck into the new topics. A reminder that Class 5's curriculum letter is on the Class 5 page on the website.

Homework

The homework this week is as follows:

1.) 2 Mathletics tasks on angles.  A big thank you to everybody who has been keeping up with the homework. If you are unable to get on at home, or you need more time to complete the homework, I would encourage you to come to homework club on a Wednesday lunchtime. The homework is really helpful to ensure you have understood the maths taught in school.

2.) The spellings are: fasten, glisten, castle, listen, soften, whistle, wrestle, thistle.

3.) I have uploaded a collaborative Teams document for you. It is a sheet which all of you write on and it appears as one document. I would like you to write on the document things you would like to find out about Greece (both ancient and modern). So it is just simple a line or two of writing with a question about what you would like to learn in the topic. I will then do my best to answer all your questions throughout the next 6 weeks of lessons on our Greece topic. Please be aware this is a learning document, so sensible questions only, please!

To access this, please go to the Class Notebook section on Teams and look in the class pages sections. This is the first time I have used this, so please let me know if it works!

Next week

I am delighted to invite all children in the class to a Teams online meeting on Wednesday at 4pm. It will be a short 15 minutes lesson where I will be doing a quick, fun task with you. I am using this to test out our ability to deliver remote learning. Please ensure your microphone is muted when you join, but I may ask you to unmute it at different points. Bring a pen and paper!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and stay safe!

Mr. K
